BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is a growing trend that encourages students to bring their own personal devices into MIT for easy and secure access to all applications, desktops, and data. Students can access the full MIT desktop through their own personal laptop or another device (such as smartphones, tablets, PCs and Macs), no matter where they are geographically located, as long as they have internet connectivity. You can easily access all your files and any programs available on the student desktop, just as if you were physically in the lab or classroom.
Before getting started, please follow the instructions below on how to get your device ready. You must ensure you have access via WiFi or broadband, or if you are on campus you can connect to MIT-Wireless.
First, you will need to download Citrix Receiver. For further details on how to do this, select the device or operating system that you’re running, and follow the instructions below.
