It also connects with external agencies such as the TEC,NZQA, StudyLink and the Ministry of Education and to report their enrolment status to internal systems such as Canvas, the library, Technology One and Security<br \/>\nThe SMS comprises of a suite of module, listed below:<\/p>\n<p>Ontrack<br \/>\nThe Ontrack environment is designed for all staff, currently it is mainly used for staff who need to view student and curriculum information and\/or have responsibility for recording attendance and result marking. Ontrack is a responsive webpage and is accessible compliant, it is best viewed in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, or any other HTML5 Compliant browser which is up to date.<\/p>\n<p>Central<br \/>\nCentral is the environment used to update and maintain student details, enrolment, financial and results information as well as curriculum records. The default is Favourites.<\/li>\n<li>Rename the bookmark: Enter a brief name to help you identify the website.<\/li>\n<li>Add a description: Enter more details as an optional reminder about the website.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can also add a bookmark in the Smart Search field: Move the pointer over the Smart Search field, click and hold the One-Step Add button that appears at the left end of the field, then choose a bookmarks folder from the list. After you add the bookmark, you can find it in the sidebar.<\/p>\n<p>Add a bookmark<br \/>\nIn the Safari app on your Mac, click the Sidebar button in the toolbar, then click Bookmarks.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Enter the bookmark name in the search field at the top of the sidebar.<\/li>\n<li>You may have to scroll to reveal the search field.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n<li><div id=\"faq-1165\" class=\"arconix-faq-wrap\"><div id=\"faq-MicrosoftOffice2013-QuickStartGuide\" class=\"arconix-faq-title faq-closed\">Microsoft Office 2013 -Quick Start Guide<\/div><div class=\"arconix-faq-content faq-closed\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/techservices.manukau.ac.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Office-2013-Quick-Start-Guide.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Office 2013 Quick Start Guide<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n<li><div id=\"faq-548\" class=\"arconix-faq-wrap\"><div id=\"faq-Dualmonitorsetup\" class=\"arconix-faq-title faq-closed\">Dual monitor setup<\/div><div class=\"arconix-faq-content faq-closed\"><p>To add a second monitor in your Windows environment, simply press the new hotkey <span class=\"text-base\">Win+P<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>This is very convenient when you need to change the display settings during presentations with a projector that is connected to your laptop.<\/p>\n<p>There are two methods to set up multiple monitors in Windows 7. Make sure that you connect the external monitors to your laptop or your desktop computer first.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"sbody-h3\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Method 1: By keyboard shortcut &#8220;Win+P&#8221;<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Press the <span class=\"text-base\">Windows logo key<\/span> + <span class=\"text-base\">P<\/span> on your keyboard. (The screen shot for this step is listed below).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"graphic\" title=\"The screen shot for this step\" src=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/library\/images\/support\/kbgraphics\/public\/en-us\/win7sbs\/976064\/976064b.png\" alt=\"The screen shot for this step\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text-base\">2. <\/span> Click the <strong class=\"uiterm\">Multiple displays<\/strong> drop-down list, and then select <strong class=\"uiterm\">Extend these displays<\/strong>, or <strong class=\"uiterm\">Duplicate these displays<\/strong>. <span class=\"text-base\">Note<\/span> If you cannot see the additional monitor(s) listed, click <strong class=\"uiterm\">Detect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If this does not work, try restarting your computer and repeat\u00a0Steps 1 &amp; 2 again.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"graphic\" title=\"The screen shot for this step\" src=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/library\/images\/support\/kbgraphics\/public\/en-us\/win7sbs\/976064\/976064c.png\" alt=\"The screen shot for this step\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"arconix-faq-to-top\"><a href=\"#faq-Dualmonitorsetup\">Return to Top<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>\n<li><div id=\"faq-551\" class=\"arconix-faq-wrap\"><div id=\"faq-BackupyourdevicesusingiCloudoriTunes\" class=\"arconix-faq-title faq-closed\">Back up your devices using iCloud or iTunes<\/div><div class=\"arconix-faq-content faq-closed\"><div class=\"intro\">\n<p>If you back up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you will have a back up copy of your information to use if your device is ever lost, or damaged.<\/p>\n<p>Backups allow\u00a0transfer of data from your old\u00a0device to your new one.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div id=\"sections\">\n<section class=\"\">\n<h4>Choose a backup method<\/h4>\n<p>Before you get started, read about\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/HT204136\">difference between making backups with iCloud and iTunes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Decide which\u00a0method is best for you and follow the steps below.\u00a0In case you ever need an alternative backup, you can always make one in iCloud and another in iTunes.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"navbuttons\"><\/section>\n<section id=\"icloud\" class=\"\" tabindex=\"-1\">\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Method 1: Make a backup using iCloud<\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/library\/content\/dam\/edam\/applecare\/images\/en_US\/iOS\/iphone6-ios9-settings-icloud-backup.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"260\" height=\"531\" data-hires=\"true\" \/><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/techservices.manukau.ac.nz\/index.php\/staff-guides\/access-internet\/\">Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>In iOS 8 or later, tap <strong>Settings &gt; iCloud &gt; Backup<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIn iOS 7 or earlier, tap <strong>Settings &gt; iCloud &gt; Storage &amp; Backup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that<strong> iCloud<\/strong> Backup is turned on.<\/li>\n<li>Tap Back Up Now. Stay connected to your Wi-Fi network until the process is complete.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the backup is finished by tapping <strong>Settings &gt; iCloud &gt; Storage &gt; Manage Storage<\/strong>, and then select your device. The backup you just created\u00a0should appear in the details with the time\u00a0and backup size.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Follow these\u00a0steps\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/HT203516\">if you need help making a backup in iCloud<\/a>.<\/p>\n<section class=\"\">\n<h3>Backup automatically in iCloud<\/h3>\n<p>After you&#8217;ve turned on iCloud Backup, iCloud can automatically back up your device each day.\u00a0iCloud will make daily automatic backups if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your device is connected to a power source.<\/li>\n<li>Your device is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techservices.manukau.ac.nz\/index.php\/staff-guides\/access-internet\/\">connected to a Wi-Fi network<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Your device&#8217;s screen is locked.<\/li>\n<li>You have <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/HT204247\">enough available space in iCloud<\/a> for the backup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"\">\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/library\/content\/dam\/edam\/applecare\/images\/en_US\/mac_apps\/itunes\/divider.png\" alt=\" \" data-hires=\"true\" \/><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"itunes\" class=\"\" tabindex=\"-1\">\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Method 2 :Make a backup using iTunes<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open iTunes and connect your device to your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Save the content that you downloaded from the iTunes Store or App Store by clicking File &gt; Devices &gt; Transfer Purchases. Then wait for the transfer to finish.<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re using Windows and <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/HT202662\">don&#8217;t see a File menu<\/a>,\u00a0hold down the Control +\u00a0B keys.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/library\/content\/dam\/edam\/applecare\/images\/en_US\/mac_apps\/itunes\/el-capitan-itunes-backup-device-transfer-purchases.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"500\" data-hires=\"true\" \/><\/li>\n<li>If you want to save Health and Activity data from your iOS device or Apple Watch, you\u2019ll need to encrypt your backup:<\/li>\n<li>Select the box called Encrypt [device] backup and enter a\u00a0password.<span class=\"callout\">Write down your password and store it somewhere safe, because there&#8217;s no way to recover your iTunes backups without this password.<br \/>\n<\/span>If you don&#8217;t need to save your Health and Activity data, you can make a backup that isn&#8217;t encrypted.<\/li>\n<li>Just click Back Up Now.\u00a0If you&#8217;re using Windows click File &gt; Devices &gt; Back up (if you <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/HT202662\">don&#8217;t see a File menu<\/a>, hold down the Control = B keys).<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/library\/content\/dam\/edam\/applecare\/images\/en_US\/mac_apps\/itunes\/itunes-elcapitan-encrypt-iphone-backup.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"780\" data-hires=\"true\" \/><\/li>\n<li>You can see if your backup has finished successfully in iTunes Preferences &gt; Devices.<\/li>\n<li>You should see the name of your device with the date and time that iTunes created the backup.\u00a0If you encrypted your backup, you should also see a lock symbol\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/library\/content\/dam\/edam\/applecare\/images\/en_US\/il\/lock_inline_icon.png\" alt=\" \" data-hires=\"true\" \/>\u00a0beside the name of your device.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/library\/content\/dam\/edam\/applecare\/images\/en_US\/mac_apps\/itunes\/itunes-elcapitan-device-preferences.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"500\" data-hires=\"true\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"arconix-faq-to-top\"><a href=\"#faq-BackupyourdevicesusingiCloudoriTunes\">Return to Top<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>\n<li><div id=\"faq-538\" class=\"arconix-faq-wrap\"><div id=\"faq-RemoveAppleIDorresetAppledevice\" class=\"arconix-faq-title faq-closed\">Remove Apple ID or reset Apple device<\/div><div class=\"arconix-faq-content faq-closed\"><h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">How to delete\/remove your Apple ID<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The most simple way\u00a0is to remove everything from your iDevice.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, all you have to do is go to Settings \u2192 General \u2192 Reset \u2192 Erase All Content &amp; Settings.<\/p>\n<p>Then, Settings \u2192 General \u2192 Reset \u2192 Reset All Settings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alternative method for deleting your Apple ID from the iPhone\/iPad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Remove Find My iPhone: Firstly, remove &#8216;Find My iPhone&#8217; from your device. This will trigger the Activation Lock.<\/p>\n<p>If you have enabled Find My iPhone, you can remove it from: Settings \u2192 iCloud \u2192 turn off the switch for Find My iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"td-modal-image\" href=\"http:\/\/www.igeeksblog.com\/\/srv\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-Remove-Find-My-iPhone.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15732 td-animation-stack-type2-1\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.igeeksblog.com\/\/srv\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-Remove-Find-My-iPhone.jpg\" alt=\"How to Remove Find My iPhone\" width=\"320\" height=\"354\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Remove your Device from iCloud: \u00a0Watch this tutorial<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/techservices.manukau.ac.nz\/index.php\/staff-guides\/general-knowledge-for-staffs\/remove-apple-device-from-your-icloud\/\">here<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/a>to remove this device from your iCloud Find My iPhone account.<\/p>\n<p>If you are\u00a0replacing\u00a0the iPhone\/iPad with another device you will have\u00a0another Apple ID so it makes sense to remove the device from your account.<\/p>\n<p>3. Sign Out Everywhere: Go to Settings \u2192 iTunes &amp; App Store and tap on the Apple ID field. Then, tap on Sign Out.<\/p>\n<p>Next up, go to Settings \u2192 iCloud and repeat the process. These are the 2\u00a0standard places\u00a0that\u00a0you will have signed in with your Apple ID.<\/p>\n<p>4. function on any Canon printer, as long as they have a MIT ID card.\n<p><strong>A few things to note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Staff with a current ID card should not need to register their card, as we will transfer over card details from the existing print system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Anyone who is issued a new MIT ID card will need to register it at the printer and authorise it against their account.<\/li>\n<li>The cost associated with printing and copier functions are charged back to the department of the employee via the department cost code
